Dog beach day ban begins on Cornwall Council beaches

According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, there are three areas in the Hayle Estuary where dogs are not allowed at any time to protect wildlife.

Other private beaches may have their own local restrictions in place.

On most beaches around Cornwall, dogs are not allowed between 10am and 6pm between 1 July and 31 August.

Dogs must be on a lead on Summerleaze Beach, Bude during the day between 21st May and 30th September.
