Monster storm warning as Coventry braces for heavy rain

Parts of the UK will be hit by violent storms. New weather maps from forecasters at InMeto say they will reach from Surrey to Pembrokeshire and as far east as Canterbury, Kent. tomorrow (May 16).

There will also be heavy rain showers and we here in the Midlands won’t be immune to that, the Mirror reports. According to the latest online forecast from the Met Office, our area will wake up to cloudy weather and showers, “some heavy”.




The chance of heavy showers continues into Friday and into the weekend. But the “changeable” weather will also bring sunshine, which the Met Office says will be “warm”, with temperatures close to average for May.

Any low cloud breaking then a mix of bright or sunny spells and scattered showers, perhaps with longer spells of rain in the east at times. Warm in any sun with light winds. Maximum temperature 20C.
