BBC1’s Death in Paradise star confirms return

Death in Paradise’s Don Warrington, known for his role as the Commissioner, has confirmed that he will once again be back for the show. He even gave fans a sneak peek of Ralf Little’s successor on set. Earlier this month, news broke that Don Gilet, previously seen in EastEnders, would be taking on the role of the new Detective Inspector.

Production on the upcoming series is in full swing, with Don posting snaps of the ensemble during filming, sparking excitement among viewers. One picture shows Selwyn introducing the new DI outside the Saint Marie police station. A separate snapshot captures the Commissioner alongside Darlene Curtis (portrayed by Ginny Holder) – prompting speculation as to whether she is at the crime scene. Enthusiastic followers quickly took to the comments section to express their anticipation, pondering the release date of series 14.

“Introducing the new inspector at the police station?” one enthusiast speculated, while another commented: “It’s a behind-the-scenes operation that makes this show great,” reports the Express. Another fan eagerly wondered: “WHEN IS SEASON 14 COMING OUT” and yet another exclaimed: “Glad to hear that Commissioner.”

While fans are excited for Elizabeth’s return, Josephine Jobert has made it clear that she will not be returning as DS Florence Cassell. In a candid Q&A on social media, Josephine addressed the rumors head on.

She said: “No, Death in Paradise is over for me now. I have already gone and joined the series several times and have more than fulfilled my time. I’m very grateful for everything he’s given me, both personally and professionally, but I have to move on.” She added: “But I’m very excited to be asked this question. Everything is love!”.

After Death in Paradise, Josephine landed an intriguing role in the surveillance thriller Concordia. The French actress will portray Mathilde in the upcoming six-part series, which is already creating a frenzy with its impressive line-up.
