Woman found dead at home in Bodmin

A woman has died at home in Bodmin. Devon and Cornwall Police were called to Forth an Venegh at around 12.45pm on Monday (May 13).

The 40-year-old woman was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. A man, aged 40, was arrested in connection with her death but has since been released without further charge.




A cordon was set up while officers searched the scene. The force has since confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were called at around 12.45pm on Monday 13 May following a concern for the welfare of a woman at an address in Forth an Venegh, Bodmin.

“The 40-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been notified. A guard has been put in place while officers investigate the circumstances of his death.
