Belichick slams QB over Birmingham relegation

Tom Brady’s record as a player was pretty flawless, but the initial comebacks in his ownership career were far less successful.

The former NFL star became a minority owner of Birmingham City ahead of this season, looking to translate his Super Bowl-winning pedigree into the world of English football.

Although there was much talk of the Blues’ readjustment in the Premier League, the season ended with the exact opposite result. Birmingham’s relegation to League One was confirmed on Saturday.

Just one day after the last game of the season in Birmingham, Brady was the subject of a three-hour Netflix roast.

No subject was off limits in “GROAT The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady,” including his divorce, vanity and questionable business decisions among many, many other topics.

His longtime coach made sure to bring up another investment that didn’t exactly go according to plan.

“I see your football team, Birmingham City, has been taken down to another level in the English Football League,” Belichick said.

“For those unfamiliar with English football and the intricacies of their obscure relegation system, I’ll put it in English for you: they’re hell.”

Turning to Brady, Belichick added, “It’s not that easy to run a team, is it Tom?”
