More than 187,000 Honda Ridgeline trucks recalled due to rearview camera problem

America Honda Motor Co. is recalling more than 187,000 vehicles of certain Ridgeline models due to a rearview camera problem.

According to the recall notice reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on May 9 and posted Monday, Honda is recalling 187,290 of certain 2020-2024 Ridgeline pickup trucks because the tailgate rearview camera (RVC) cable harness can fatigue and break, which can prevent the rearview camera image from being displayed and increase the risk of an accident.

Honda dealers will replace the RVC tailgate wiring harness free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 1st.
