Russian Finance Minister reveals that over 90% of bilateral trade with China is settled outside the US dollar system

Anton Siluanov, Russia’s finance minister, pointed out that most bilateral trade with China is conducted outside the US dollar system. He pointed out that more than 90% of these transactions were completed using national currencies (rubles and yuan) because of the risks associated with executing them using “unfriendly” currencies.
