Turkey stocks fall at close of trade; The BIST 100 was down 0.78% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, it lost 0.78%.

The best performers of the session on the were Teknosa Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS (IS: ), which rose 9.97% or 3.00 points to trade at 33.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Tukas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: ) added 3.77% or 0.30 points to end at 8.25 and Kayseri Seker Fabrikasi AS (IS: ) was up 3.22% or 0.82 points to trade at 26.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:), which declined 7.46% or 4.05 points to trade at 50.25 at the close. Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS: ) declined 3.68% or 1.87 points to 48.88 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS: ) declined 3.45% or 2.55 points to 71. 45.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 392 to 166, with 15 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.17%, or 4.30, to $2,546.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery rose 0.07% or 0.05 to $73.22 a barrel, while Brent crude futures rose 0.22% or 0 .17 to $77.37 per barrel.

USD/TRY rose 0.17% to 33.91, while EUR/TRY rose 0.17% to 37.77.

US dollar index futures fell 0.17% to 101.12.
