The man pleads guilty to manslaughter

A man has admitted manslaughter but denies murder after a city center stabbing.

Sidney Palmer, 59, died after suffering a fatal knife wound to the chest in Conduit Street, Leicester, on September 30 last year.

Nathan Pritchard is on trial at Leicester Crown Court, where the jury was told on Wednesday that he had admitted murdering Mr Palmer.

The 30-year-old, of no fixed address, denies the crime.

Co-defendant Victor-Eduard Raja, 25, of Columbine Road, Leicester, also denies murder and a charge of possessing a knife in a public place.

Michael Boleyn, 32, of Fieldfare Walk, Syston, and Leon Newton, 35, of no fixed address, have denied charges of manslaughter.

The process continues.
