Josie Gibson is undergoing surgery after her condition left her in hospital

Josie Gibson underwent surgery after years of suffering and hospitalization. The This Morning star, 39, said she had been “looking at it for years” before making the decision to go ahead. Josie said: “Every time I run I end up with tonsillitis.

“I ended up in hospital in December and over the years my right tonsil has gotten bigger…well, they’re not my friends anymore…bye tonsils.” Josie, from Bristol, attended Healthhub in London and posted pictures from inside the clinic. She explained that she opted for laser technology instead of a full tonsillectomy, reports The Mirror.

Josie said her decision to have the operation now was because she had time to recover. “I’m sharing this with you because I’ve been looking at it for years,” she said. The presenter told her fans she was done in 10 minutes as she shared a photo of a machine lined with a yellow substance.

She added James Blunt’s hit Goodbye My Lover to her post and explained: “This is my tonsil vaporized using laser technology.”
