Leicester climbs the table Complete University Guide | News

The University of Leicester has picked up the rankings from the Complete University Guide 2025.

Leicester climbed two places from 38thth at 36th in the league table ranking of 130 UK Higher education institutionswhich was published on Tuesday, May 14.

University performance in National Student Surveywhich records UK students’ level of satisfaction with their university experience, was a factor behind the growth.

The university was also 20th place for spend academic services and the 27thth for the quality of his research, in the guide.

In terms of subjects, English has seen the biggest rise, in motion I moved up eight places to 29thwith Italian (10th) and Medicine (11th) being the best performing subjects in Leicester.

Professor Liz Jones, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) at the University of Leicester, said: “Are pleased to see the University of Leicester continuing to perform strongly in CComplete university guide. Going up two places again this year it is testimony our commitment to provide Vit’s the best education for all our students“.

The rise in ranking comes a few months after university received Gold within the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023, meaning that the experience students have and the outcomes it leads to are typically outstanding.

This one also follows Leicester’s ranking of 30th in Times Higher Education analysis of the results of the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021, its best performance in a national research assessment exercise, GIVING that the University is one of the few in the country which demonstrate excellence in both teaching and research.
