Meyer Burger suspends Colorado solar cell manufacturing site By Reuters

BERLIN (Reuters) – Swiss solar panel maker Meyer Burger ( SIX: ) said on Monday its solar cell production site in Thalheim, Germany, would continue to form the backbone of its supply after suspending plans to a plant in Colorado, contrary to previous plans.

“In connection with the strategic changes, the Board of Directors has instructed management to develop a comprehensive program of restructuring and cost reduction,” the company said in a statement.
