Where are Boeing and Airbus delivery expectations for 2025? Via Investing.com

As the aviation industry looks to 2025, delivery expectations for Boeing (NYSE: ) and Airbus are getting stronger.

According to the latest Aero Weekly analyst note, both manufacturers are setting ambitious targets for their aircraft deliveries, with significant implications for their manufacturing strategies and supplier relationships.

“Currently, sales-side estimates reflect a consensus expectation of 41,737 shipments per month in 2025 and 7.8,787 shipments per month,” analysts said.

However, achieving these numbers will require Boeing to substantially increase its production rates. Analysts note that the 737 production rate needs to reach about 38 units per month by the end of the year, and the 787 may need a rate break next year to meet expected delivery targets.

The firm acknowledges that while these targets are being met, they are dependent on stable production and avoiding further disruptions. In particular, the recent failure with the 777X is not expected to have a significant impact on overall delivery estimates for 2025.

On the Airbus front, expectations for the A320 family have moderated but still seem manageable.

According to analysts, Airbus’ delivery targets for the A320 series are set reasonably, which should foster a supportive environment for suppliers.

They say this setup suggests supplier sales growth could pick up as the year goes on, benefiting from Airbus’ more stable delivery projections.

While both Boeing and Airbus are aiming high for 2025, the path to achieving these delivery targets will be influenced by their ability to stabilize production and effectively manage supply chain dynamics.
