US Open 2024: How much money will players earn?

The US Open has the largest individual prize pool of all four Grand Slam tournaments this year. Players will compete for a share of a $75 million purse. It is 15% higher than last year. Who wins what and how does it compare to other Grand Slams? Here’s how it shakes out.

How much do US Open men’s and women’s champions earn?

Both the men’s and women’s champions will pocket $3.6 million this year, a 20 percent increase over last year. Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff are the defending champions. The second place will receive 1.8 million dollars.

However, all players who advance to the higher rounds will receive higher payouts. Making it to the first round of the Main Draw will pay $100,000 for the first time, a 23% increase from the amount in 2023. The semifinalists will walk away with $1 million, while the quarterfinals will earn $530,000.

How Much Do US Open Doubles Champions Make?

The men’s and women’s doubles champions will receive $750,000, which will be split between the teams. This is a 7% increase from 2023.

How Much Do US Open Mixed Doubles Champions Make?

Mixed doubles champions draw the (relative) short straw, receiving $200,000. That is, however, 17% more than they were earning a year ago.
