Bronfman backs out of Paramount’s buyout offer, clearing the way for the Skydance deal

Hollywood’s biggest drama of the year appears to have come to an end, as Edgar Bronfman Jr. dropped his 11th-hour bid to buy Paramount Global, the parent of National Amusements, on Monday night.
