Vardy plea, Iheanacho exit, EFL slammed – Highlights from Leicester City’s title celebrations

Leicester City celebrated becoming Championship champions in style this weekend. Despite losing 2-0 to Blackburn Rovers, the Foxes were in the mood to party at the King Power Stadium before the festivities continued in the city centre.

Thousands of supporters packed Leicester city center to celebrate with the football club, with Khun Top even speaking publicly for the first time in what seems like forever.




After the emotional scenes in Saturday’s LE2, the parade was more enjoyable with comedy moments from Jamie Vardy and Marc Albrighton. Leicestershire live if the reporters live downtown and have a look at some of the better moments and some of the moments you might have missed.

Jamie Vardy’s daughter

One of the most memorable moments from the parade was when Jamie Vardy called for silence in the crowd below after the team made their way onto the clock tower balcony. Holding his four-year-old daughter Olivia in his arms, Vardy asked her to do ‘Rock, Paper Scissors’, she forced herself to enthusiastically say into the microphone, ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors, **** off’. The moment drew laughter and cheers from the crowd below.

Vardy then reacted by pointing out how similar his daughter is to himself while laughing.

Top’s message

It’s not very often that City fans hear directly from club chairman Aiyawatt ‘Top’ Srivaddhanaprabha, but the chairman was given the microphone while on the balcony with the team. He used the opportunity to send a message to his fans. Here’s what he had to say:
