Suspect wanted after spitting on worker through Coquitlam window

Coquitlam RCMP said he tried to use an electric scooter to drive through the McDonald’s drive-thru.

Coquitlam RCMP are looking to identify a suspect who spat at a fast food restaurant worker through a window.

The suspect, a man, was attempting to order food through the McDonald’s drive-thru, located at 2725 Barnet Hwy., while on an electric scooter on May 1.

Police say when he was told he couldn’t order food, he spat at the employee through the window. Video footage shows him leaving soon after.

“We take reports of workplace violence very seriously because everyone deserves to feel safe at work,” Cpl. Alexa Hodgins said.

The suspect is described as being between 30 and 40 years old, with a thin build and a short dark beard. He was wearing a light gray bicycle helmet, a dark jacket with two white stripes on the shoulders and arms, a light blue shirt, dark pants, and a dark backpack.

Coquitlam RCMP are asking anyone who may have information about the investigation to contact the detachment at 604-945-1550 and quote case number 2024-10907.
