August Comex Option Expiration Day

Yes, it’s that time of the month again. Today is the day that the August Comex priced options expire and Thursday is the day that the first month Sep24 silver comes off the board and is in “delivery”. As with every Comex option expiration day, you have to expect price management at the close, and we certainly see that again today.

At least, if anything, we’ll soon have this behind us. It’s a relatively quiet week and the main economic event won’t happen until Friday with the latest PCE data. Until then, it will be good to have all the expirations in your rearview mirror…
