MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – The United States has “significant concerns” about problems that could arise as a result of the popular election of judges in Mexico, the U.S. embassy said in a diplomatic note released by the ambassador on Tuesday.

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said earlier in the day that he had cut ties with the US embassy, ​​but not with the US as a whole, after the ambassador’s comments on reform.
