Italy stocks rising at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 up 0.90% Via Investing.com

Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Milan, 0.90% added to hit a new one-month high.

The best performers of the session on the were Tenaris SA (BIT: ), which rose 5.49% or 0.69 points to trade at 13.17 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics ( BIT: ) added 2.97% or 0.82 points to end at 28.58 and Interpump Group (BIT: ) was up 2.14% or 0.82 points to trade at 39.16 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (BIT: ), which was unchanged 1.34% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.24 at the close. Hera ( BIT: ) declined 1.09% or 0.04 points to end at 3.45 and Inwit ( BIT: ) declined 0.83% or 0.09 points to 10.71.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Milan Stock Exchange by 298 to 175, with 43 ending unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery rose 1.88%, or 1.40, to $75.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for November delivery rose 1.40%, or 1.09, to $78.67 a barrel, while December gold futures rose 0.65 % or 16.60 to $2,554.40 per troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.28% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures rose 0.29% to 101.29.
