Coventry City have given key transfer window details ahead of their summer consolidation

Coventry City’s recruitment plans are well underway with just a few short weeks to go until the summer transfer window officially opens, with deals set to begin in mid-June and close at the end of August.

The EFL have confirmed the start and end of the summer transfer window, with the Sky Blues expected to be quite busy as Mark Robins looks to add numbers and strengthen his squad after missing out on the play-offs this time around.

City will be able to register players from June 14, with the window closing on Friday, August 30 at 11pm. Summer windows in recent years have reached as far as September, but that won’t be the case in 2024.

The next winter transfer window, however, will stretch until February. The Sky Blues will be allowed to sign players from 1 January until 11pm on Monday 3 February 2025.

Coventry have already revealed their retained list of three out-of-contract senior players and all were expected to leave the club. So far farmhand midfielder Liam Kelly and experienced goalkeeper Simon Moore have left the CBS Arena, with attacking midfielder Callum O’Hare expected to be confirmed to leave. The 26-year-old has been offered a new deal and is wanted by manager Mark Robins, but all indications are that the former Aston Villa prospect will leave on a free transfer for a club further up, either in this country, either abroad.

Elsewhere, on-loan defender Luis Binks has returned to his parent club Bologna after ending his season-long stay and the club have released under-21 players Dermi Lusala and Bradley Stretton.
