Former Coronation Street and Loose Women star joins Hollyoaks with Jeremy Sheffield back

Former Coronation Street and Loose Women star Sherrie Hewson is set to join Hollyoaks as part of the Blake Dynasty and Jeremy Sheffield is set to return to Chester as the show’s new mother and son duo Matha and Jez.

The newest arrivals will shake up the lives of Sienna, Maxine, Dilly and Liberty as the pair arrive with an unexpected novelty. Sienna’s family tree branches out in the following scenes as she meets her long-lost grandmother and uncle, the latter bearing a striking resemblance to a ghost from her past – her late father Patrick.

The Channel 4 soap has released a brand new image of Jeremy and Sherrie in character, giving fans hints of what to expect from the exciting new storyline.

The Blake Dynasty promises intense drama, hysterical situations and plenty of secrets ready to be discovered. Sherrie and Jeremy will appear on Hollyoaks for the first time as Martha and Jeremy (Jez) at the end of May.

Hannah Cheers, executive producer of Hollyoaks, said: “To be a Blake you have to be smart, engaging and charming on the outside… and calculating, cold and cynical on the inside. With a family dynasty so rich in history, it should come as no surprise that there are many more secrets to uncover. Speaking about her new role, Sherrie said: “It’s been a roller coaster joining Hollyoaks! The character is simply wonderful to play. Everyone is so nice, great atmosphere to work in and so welcoming. We laugh a lot what more could you ask for. for…”

Of course, eagle-eyed fans will recognize new character Jez as actor Jeremy, as he is best known for his role as the evil Patrick Blake in Hollyoaks, which he played from 2012 to 2016. Meanwhile, the actor and presenter Sherrie is best known for her roles. as Joyce Temple-Savage in Benidorm and Maureen Holdsworth in Coronation Street. She was also a panellist on Loose Women for 14 years.
