Gas Street Basin Birmingham Botanist – in pictures

The Botanist took over The Canal House on Birmingham’s famous Gas Street Basin in March 2024. This beautiful location is very easy to access – right in the heart of Brum, but away from the hustle and bustle.

Walk along the canal from The Mailbox or descend under Broad Street at Brindleyplace. It is not far from Utilita Arena or Birmingham Rep. You can dine alfresco watching the narrowboats make their way past or among all the hanging plants that the Botanist interiors are known for.

The menu includes steaks, salads, burgers and sharing plates and is known for its ‘famous hanging kebabs’ which come with a sauce that you pour into a dish on top of the shelf, allowing it to drip onto the meat, prawns or halloumi . to chips, couscous or rice with coconut on the bottom.
