WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations said on Thursday it would hold a hearing with four major semiconductor companies on the use of U.S.-made semiconductors in Russian weapons deployed in the Ukraine war.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who chairs the committee, announced that Tuesday’s hearing will include testimony from executives from Analog devices (NASDAQ: ), Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ: ) Intel (NASDAQ: ) and Texas Instruments (NASDAQ: ). The committee said the companies “produced have consistently appeared in recovered Russian weapons. The hearing will examine the companies’ compliance with export controls designed to block Russia from accessing American technology.”
