Visa and Santander have been selected by the Central Bank of Brazil for the second phase of the CBDC-pilot

The list of selected projects includes global companies such as Visa, which will work alongside Brazilian brokerage XP and digital bank Nubank to optimize the foreign exchange market. Spanish banking giant Santander, for its part, has been selected to work on a project involving automotive operations and another focused on lending and decarbonisation.
