The BBC and Met Office weather forecast that Liverpool will be 22 degrees Celsius

Weather experts from the BBC and the Met Office have given their predictions as the mercury is set to soar to 22C in Liverpool this week.

After mixed weather over the bank holiday weekend, things should now be warmer with some sunny spells forecast for today (Tuesday 7 May). We can expect highs of 19C in the city and other parts of Merseyside.




The BBC reports that these highs will remain in place on Wednesday and Thursday, while the Met Office is predicting highs of slightly lower 17C these days.

BBC experts then forecast highs of 22C and sunny spells on Friday and Saturday. The forecast from the Met Office paints a slightly different picture, with highs of 21C these days, “cloudy” conditions on Friday and some sunny spells on Saturday.

However, both forecasters suggest it will remain mostly dry until Saturday, May 12 inclusive.

The Met Office outlook for Thursday-Sunday reads: “High pressure dominates for the rest of the week, bringing stable conditions and plenty of dry weather. Very hot sun and light wind.
