Alera Group said its chairman, Jim Blue, will become the company’s chief executive officer, effective January 1, 2025.

Blue will become CEO of the Alera Group in 2025Alera said Blue’s extensive experience in the insurance, benefits and financial services sectors, including his previous role as CEO of the Marsh & McLennan New England agency, positions him as the ideal leader for the next phase of growth for the Alera Group.

The Deerfield, Illinois-based Alera Group, founded in 2017, has made impressive progress under Levitz’s leadership, growing from $150 million in revenue to nearly $1.4 billion this year. Since Blue joined the Alera Group as President in 2018, that growth has accelerated, with revenues growing nearly 330% while the company integrated more than 125 offices and grew the unified team to more than 4,400 colleagues.

“Working alongside Jim, I have seen his ability to engage our colleagues and communicate a strategic vision that will ensure Alera Group continues to thrive and adapt in an ever-changing market, serving its customers and serving each other,” Levitz said.
