‘Many’ terms to be assessed in Israel-Hamas ceasefire talks: Simon Birmingham

Shadow Foreign Secretary Simon Birmingham says there are “many” terms to be assessed in ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas.

Mr Birmingham joined Sky News Australia to discuss Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza.

“We don’t know the details of what has been put on the table or what Hamas has agreed to at this point,” he said.

“Israel has indicated that it has a different offer – releasing the hostages and allowing a ceasefire in hostilities would be welcome.

“But obviously there are a lot of terms that need to be evaluated.”
