Mexico stocks fall at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.32% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

Late in Mexico, the 0.32% drop hit a new 6-month low.

The best performers of the session were Alfa, SAB De CV (BMV: ), which rose 17.07% or 1.90 points to trade at 13.03 at the close. Meanwhile, Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV: ) rose 3.75% or 0.74 points to end at 20.47 and Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV: ) was up 2. 83% or 0.54 points to 19.64 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Also SAB De CV (BMV: ), which declined 3.44% or 1.83 points to trade at 51.34 at the close. America Movil SAB de CV M (BMV: ) declined 3.33% or 0.54 points to end at 15.69 and Regional SAB de CV (BMV: ) declined 3.10% or 3. 74 points, up to 116.74.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Mexico Stock Exchange 117 to 106, with 22 ending unchanged.

Shares in Alsea, SAB De CV (BMV:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.44% or 1.83 to 51.34. Shares of Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:) rose to a 52-week high; up 3.75% or 0.74 to 20.47. Shares of Regional SAB de CV (BMV:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.10% or 3.74 to 116.74.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.52 percent, or 13.05, to $2,545.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery fell 3.49%, or 2.40%, to $66.31 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.03 to $69.72 per barrel.

USD/MXN was unchanged 0.02% to 20.09, while EUR/MXN fell 0.07% to 22.14.

US dollar index futures rose 0.12% to 101.64.
