Royal Enfield Bullet 650 spied testing in Europe

– It will be powered by a 648cc parallel twin engine

– May be released in early 2025

Similar to its 350cc range, Royal Enfield plans to offer more models in the 650cc range as well. One such model is the upcoming Royal Enfield Bullet 650, which was recently tested in Europe.

Yes, it’s the Bullet 650 and not the Classic 650 Twin, contrary to what most publications claim. Why do we say this? One, our source has confirmed that this is the Bullet 650. And two, if you look closely, the bike has a one-piece seat similar to the Bullet 350, and the rear wing is also different.

It is quite common to mistake the Bullet 650 for a Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin as both bikes will share similar underpinnings and styling. In fact, most of the cycle parts will also be similar, except for wheel sizes and some features.

Now why would Royal Enfield want to introduce the Bullet 650 in India when they are already working on the Classic 650 Twin? Well, the Bullet nameplate has a strong brand recall in India. It has immense popularity in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities and buyers strongly associate with its brand heritage. So the Bullet 650 will serve as a perfect upgrade for those customers who want a more powerful bike but don’t want to stray from the Bullet nameplate.

The Bullet 650 will use the 648cc parallel twin engine from the Interceptor 650. The air/oil cooled engine produces 46.4PS and 52.3Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. In terms of the launch schedule, we expect it to launch in India in early 2025 as Royal Enfield will first launch the Classic 650 Twin and Scrambler 650 in India and international markets.
