France stocks fall at close of trade; The CAC 40 was down 0.14% by Investing.com

Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Paris, the index was down 0.14%, while the index was down 0.27%.

The best performers of the session were Dassault Systemes SE (EPA: ), which rose 2.25% or 0.78 points to trade at 35.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Pernod Ricard SA ( EPA: ) rose 1.40% or 1.75 points to end at 126.55 and AXA SA ( EPA: ) was up 0.97% or 0.34 points to 35.30 at the end of transactions.

The worst performers of the session were Edenred SA (EPA: ), which declined 2.95% or 1.12 points to trade at 36.83 at the close. L’Oreal SA (EPA: ) declined 2.35% or 8.85 points to end at 367.70 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA: ) was down 1.23% or 0.94 points. up to 75.58.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Voltalia SA (EPA: ) which rose 3.18% to 7.14, Gaztransport et Technigaz SA (EPA: ) which rose 3.07% to settle at 124.10 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA: ) which gained 2.25% to close at 35.42.

The worst performers were Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA: ) which fell 9.36% to 12.01 in late trade, Forvia (EPA: ) which lost 4.59% to settle at 8.20 and SCOR SE (EPA: ) which down 4.12% to 19.06 at the close.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 287 to 204, with 88 ending unchanged.

Shares of L’Oreal SA (EPA: ) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.35% or 8.85 to 367.70. The shares of AXA SA (EPA:) have risen to the highs of the last 5 years; up 0.97% or 0.34 to 35.30. Shares of Ubisoft Entertainment ( EPA: ) fell to 5-year lows; down 9.36% or 1.24 to 12.01. Shares of Forvia (EPA: ) fell to 5-year lows; down 4.59% or 0.39 to 8.20.

Gold futures for December delivery added 0.00% or 0.10 to $2,543.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery rose 2.25%, or 1.48, to $67.23 a barrel, while the November Brent crude contract rose 1.81% or 1.25, to 70.44 dollars per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.31% to 0.85.

US dollar index futures rose 0.07% to 101.67.
