Amazon’s AWS to invest $1.8 billion in Brazil by 2034 By Reuters

SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Amazon’s cloud computing arm Amazon (NASDAQ: ) Web Services (AWS) will invest 10.1 billion reais ($1.8 billion) in Brazil by 2034 to expand its data center operations in the country, it announced on Wednesday.

The resources will be used to “expand, build, connect, operate and maintain data centers in Brazil,” the firm said in a statement.

AWS’ previous investment plan in the Latin American nation totaled 19.2 billion reais between 2011 and 2023, according to the statement.
