The top companies that global business students want to work for

Universum, an employer branding specialist, used feedback from thousands of students around the world to see where they really want to work. It is part of the results of the most attractive employers in the world.

“We asked these prospective talent pools to provide insight into the company characteristics they find most attractive in a potential employer, as well as who they perceive to be their ideal employer,” Universum said.

With the employment rate continuing to be lower than it was before the pandemic, students may find their job search challenging when they begin looking for post-graduation jobs.

Some business students find Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and BMW Group attractive employers to work for, based on the top 15 in the Universum ranking based on business students from different countries.

Universum surveyed students from September 2023 through part of 2024, although the survey collection period was not the same for each of the nine participating countries. The survey asked students to list up to five ideal employers, and the ranking is based on the most frequently listed ideal companies for business students. Canada, the US and India were just three of the places surveyed.

Several companies in the top 15 of the business student-based ranking held the same rank as last year. This includes the top three: Apple, Google and JPMorgan Chase. All four Big Four companies made the top 15, with PwC in 11th place and Deloitte in 4th place.

Below are the top 15 companies that business students from different countries said they wanted to work for.
