Sony in talks to buy Pink Floyd music rights for around $500m, reports FT By Reuters

(Reuters) – Sony (NYSE: ) Music is in advanced talks to buy the rights to music recorded by legendary English rock group Pink Floyd for about $500 million, the Financial Times reported Friday.

Pink Floyd has been torn apart by personal differences between band members, particularly Roger Waters (NYSE: ) and David Gilmour, which has made it difficult to reach an agreement, the FT said, citing several people close to the matter.
