Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont reunited after their split for a special show to raise money.

The pair appeared on the second night of comedy Jon and Lucy + Friends to raise £100,000 for The Children’s Hospital Charity, in support of Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, on May 15 at Sheffield Town Hall. Thousands turned out to watch the event, which saw Jon and Lucy reunited.

Jon and Lucy recently announced their divorce after nine years of marriage, with the pair saying the decision to split was “mutual and amicable”.

All money raised from the event will go towards supporting children’s mental health care in Sheffield and beyond. Jon and Lucy also worked with Dan Walker and Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, fellow patrons of the charity, to help raise the funds.

John Armstrong, CEO of The Children’s Hospital Charity said: “It means so much to the Charity team to see so many supporters of Sheffield Children’s in one room. Knowing that we also had staff, patients and families, made for an unforgettable evening.

“We are so grateful to our sponsors, volunteers, Jon, Lucy and their fellow comedians for making the evening possible. The vital funds raised for Sheffield Children’s will help change children’s lives.”
