Netherlands stocks fall at close of trade; AEX was down 0.43% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Amsterdam, it lost 0.43%.

The best performers of the session on the were ABN AMRO Group NV (AS: ), which rose 1.76% or 0.28 points to trade at 16.21 at the close. Meanwhile, Randstad NV ( AS: ) added 0.83% or 0.35 points to end at 42.60 and Wolters Kluwer ( AS: ) was up 0.80% or 1.25 points to trade at 157.65 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Adyen NV ( AS: ), which declined 2.09% or 27.40 points to trade at 1,284.60 at the close. ASML Holding NV (AS: ) declined 1.92% or 14.10 points to 719.90 and BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS: ) declined 1.68% or 1.90 points to 111 ,25.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 62 to 39 and 9 ended unchanged.

Shares of Wolters Kluwer (AS:) rose to all-time highs; gaining 0.80% or 1.25 to 157.65.

Crude oil for November delivery rose 1.42%, or 0.96, to $68.71 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for November delivery rose 1.21%, or 0.87, to $72.48 a barrel, while December gold futures fell 0.08 % or 2.15 to $2,608.55 per troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.20% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures fell 0.37% to 100.42.
