Footage shows woman wrongfully arrested for evading bus ticket

A police officer has been found guilty of assault for wrongfully arresting a woman for fare evasion.

During the incident in July, Jocelyn Agyemang was handcuffed and left with pain and bruises to her wrist, arm and shoulder.

Following the guilty verdict, Deputy Superior Court Judge Tan Ikram ruled that PC Perry Lathwood had made an error of judgment and had exaggerated.

The arrest was captured on police footage.
