The passenger of the plane is in dispute because he refused to give way to the pregnant woman

A passenger has sparked a furious debate after refusing to give up a seat for a pregnant woman on their flight. They explained how they had boarded a five-hour flight to visit family – and rebooked a specific seat by the bathroom for medical reasons.

However, shortly after sitting down, they were approached by a pregnant woman who asked if they would consider a seat change as her growing baby was pushing on her bladder. On Reddit, they said: “I specifically booked and paid extra for an aisle seat in the second to last row because I have medical issues that sometimes require quick access to the bathroom.”

“Just before boarding, a woman asked me to give up my seat so she could sit closer to the bathroom. She was pregnant, but she didn’t seem upset. While I felt for her situation, as someone with a medical condition, I didn’t feel it was fair to ask to move from the seat I had planned and paid for, especially since she apparently hadn’t reserved an aisle seat herself in advance.”

They said flight attendants failed to help mediate the situation when the pregnant woman refused to take no for an answer, causing tension in the cabin. The passenger added: “There were no other aisles or close seats available on the entire flight that I or the flight crew could facilitate a change,” reports the Mirror.

The passenger, who wished to remain anonymous, explained that she had reserved a window seat on a flight, but that when they boarded, a woman asked if they would be willing to switch seats with her because she had to either near the bathroom due to a medical condition.

The passenger said they initially agreed to switch seats, but then changed their minds after talking to their family about it. They explained that they had paid extra for the window seat and didn’t think it was fair to have to give it up.
