Greek stocks fall at close of trade; Athens General Composite fell 0.22% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the end in Athens, the decrease by 0.22%.

The best performers of the session on the were Optima Bank SA (AT: ), which rose 2.77% or 0.36 points to trade at 13.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Athena water (AT:) added 2.66% or 0.15 points to end at 5.79 and Quest Holdings (AT:) was up 2.10% or 0.11 points to trade at 5.36 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lavipharm SA (AT: ), which decreased 2.47% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.79 at the close. Engine oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT: ) declined 2.33% or 0.50 points to 20.92 and Industrial and Commercial Biocarpet Enterprises SA (AT: ) declined 1.85% or 0.04 points to 1.86.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange 66 to 50, with 21 ending unchanged.

Shares in Optima bank SA (AT:) rose to all-time highs; up 2.77% or 0.36 to 13.34.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 1.01%, or 26.50, to $2,641.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude oil for November delivery was down 0.44%, or 0.31%, at $70.85 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract was down 0.53% or 0.40 to $74.48 per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.15% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures rose 0.29% to 100.61.
