Germany seized 47 cryptocurrency exchanges used by ransomware groups

The websites for these exchanges now display notices announcing a law enforcement operation called “Operation Final Exchange.” The page tells visitors “This was your final exchange!”, and in a letter to “ransomware affiliates, botnet operators and darknet sellers,” warns that authorities are now working to track down illegal users of the exchange.
