The eleven Manchester United players who could say goodbye after the Brighton clash

This summer will undoubtedly be the start of a new era at Manchester United.

With the Red Devils reportedly willing to entertain offers for all but four first-team players as they prepare for a massive rebuild with the arrival of new minority owner and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, there are a host of stars who could see the door when the transfer window stretches into a few weeks.

While Ratcliffe and company have plenty of decisions to make regarding manager Erik ten Hag and his future, there are a number of ways they can begin to balance the books and reduce the wage bill by offloading those seen as just dead wood.

Raphael Varane is one player who has already been confirmed to leave, with the World Cup winner hoping to play in his final game in a Man United shirt this weekend. Arriving at Old Trafford in 2021, his three-season spell at United could have ended with an injury he picked up against Chelsea in April, but he could return for a cameo appearance on Sunday afternoon.

Anthony Martial could have been the next big thing at Old Trafford, and many will remember that classic in-and-out move by Martin Skrtel before calmly slotting the ball home on his debut. But it’s all been downhill since then, with the star battling injuries throughout his years at the club and has not played since December after undergoing groin surgery.

However, he is another who could make a final appearance against Brighton as he was spotted in training earlier this week. With his current contract expiring in the summer, his time at Old Trafford looks set to come to an end after he was seen waving goodbye to the home support in the 3-2 win over Newcastle United in midweek.
