City, library marking RCAF centenary with week-long celebration

2024 marks 100 years of service for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) as a distinct military element.

To celebrate this important event, the City of BWG and the BWG Public Library are proud to present a week-long local celebration of the RCAF centennial from June 10-14, 2024.

BWG’s RCAF Centennial Celebration includes a flight simulator, films, a talk, a community parade and more.

The RCAF Centenary is an opportunity to showcase Air Force personnel and their achievements, demonstrate air and space power, enhance the reputation of the RCAF and proudly honor its distinguished history and legacy.

Friday, June 14

• RCAF Parade, 10:30 a.m., traveling west on Holland Street, beginning at Collings Avenue
• SkyHawks Landing, 1 p.m., outdoors at 425 Holland St. w.
• Formal ceremony, 1:30 p.m., outdoors at 425 Holland St. w.
