A ‘real race for talent’ in the E&S industry, says WSIA’s Kelley (video)

Brady Kelley, president and CEO of the Wholesale and Specialty Insurance Association, said the organization has done a lot to promote the E&S segment in hopes of attracting talent.

“There’s definitely not a real race for talent in this industry,” Kelly told Insurance Journal’s vice president of content, Andrea Wells, at the WSIA Annual Marketplace in San Diego.

Kelley said WSIA has reached out to historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), Spanish-language institutions, risk management/insurance programs with diverse populations and beyond RMI to attract professionals to the surplus lines industry.
