Stellantis is recalling more than 15,000 Fiat vehicles in the US, NHTSA says.

(Reuters) – Stellantis (NYSE: ) is recalling 15,835 Fiat vehicles due to a software bug that can cause front airbags to deploy with excessive force in a crash, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Wednesday.

The recall includes several Fiat 124 Spider sports cars from the 2017-2020 model years.

Dealers will update the airbag control module software for free, NHTSA said.
