“Normally, you send a major upgrade to the testnet, and if everything looks good, you immediately send it to the mainnet and then hopefully get adoption for it,” said Luigi D’Onorio DeMeo, director of operations at Ava Labs, the main the development firm behind Avalanche, in an interview with CoinDesk. “We want to turn it on its head a little bit and instead extend the testnet process and do sort of what you might call a boosted testnet.”
