The Las Vegas Strip casino is bringing back the pop band’s legendary residency

Las Vegas headliners typically sign up for residencies that last anywhere from six to maybe 20 shows before ending their engagement.

Of course, Sin City has some examples of long-term residencies that seem to go on forever. Penn & Teller have the longest current residency in Las Vegas.

Penn & Teller began its 31-year run performing the magic and comedy act in Las Vegas at Bally’s in 1993 before beginning a long-term residency at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in January 2001 at Penn and Teller Theatre.

The magical duo in July 2023 signed a three-year extension, making the Rio the home of the Penn & Teller hotel-casino until 2026.

Two other classic headliners are currently performing as long-term residents. 1970s superstar singer Barry Manilow began his off-Strip residency at the International Theater at the Westgate Las Vegas in February 2005 and has scheduled performances through December 13, 2025.

1970s teen idol Donny Osmond launches solo residency at Caesar Entertainment’s (CZR) Harrah’s Showroom in August 2021 and on September 9 extended its engagement for an additional 70 performances from February 11 through June 7, 2025

The most spectacular show on the Strip is the Eagles residency at Sphere Entertainment (SPHR) Sphere, which opened Sept. 20 for a 20-show run that ends Jan. 25, unless The Eagles extend their residency.

Adele Weekends With Adele at MGM Resorts International Dolby Live at Park MGM wraps up a 100-show run with 10 more shows from October 25th to November 23rd. After that, Adele says she’s taking a long break from performing. So don’t expect residency to be extended anytime soon.

New Kids On the Block extends Vegas residency

Legendary boy band New Kids On the Block extends ‘The Right Stuff’ residency at MGM Resorts International (MGM) Dolby Live at Park MGM in another year, with eight more shows scheduled for February 14, 15, 18, 20, 21, 25, 27 and 28, 2026.

Block Nation, Official Platinum, Citi Cardmember and VIP packages go on sale October 1st at 10:00am PT on Ticketmaster.com. Live Nation, Ticketmaster and SiriusXM presales begin October 2nd at 10am Pacific.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on October 3rd at 10am Pacific.

The popular boy band will open their first Las Vegas Strip residency with 16 shows starting June 20th and will continue with shows on June 21st, 25th, 27th, 28th, July 2nd, 3rd, 5th and November 1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th, 8th . , 12, 14 and 15, with ticket prices starting at $79 before taxes and fees.

The original members of New Kids On the Block – Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre and Danny Wood – will perform their hits on the Dolby Live stage, including “You Got It (The Right Stuff), “Hangin’ Tough” . “, “I’ll be Loving You” and “Cover Girl,” all from their second hit album, “Hangin’ Tough,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 1989. And the single “Hangin’ Tough” was successful. Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The boy band’s smash hit album “Step By Step” also reached No. 1 in 1990. The band’s success encouraged the release of other popular boy bands, including NSYNC, Backstreet Boys and 98 Degrees.

New Kids On the Block wrapped up a 47-show summer tour last month on Aug. 25 in Noblesville, Ind.
