Why is Brighton vs Manchester United not live on UK TV today?

Manchester United can secure Europa Conference League qualification when they travel to Brighton on the final day of the Premier League.

Today’s game at the Amex Stadium will decide whether United can sneak back into the top seven and whether the Seagulls can retain their place in the top half.

The Red Devils need to improve on their result at Newcastle to overtake them in the table, while the Magpies face Brentford.

Of course, United can still qualify for the Europa League if they win the FA Cup final next weekend, but a place in Europe would at least be guaranteed via the third-tier competition if results are anything to go by this afternoon.

Brighton have faced a roller-coaster season which has included their own European adventure. Roberto De Zerbi’s side, domestically, have flattered to deceive and a defeat could see them drop to 13th if fixtures elsewhere go against them.

In any case, Brighton vs Man Utd will not be broadcast live on UK TV.

Sky Sports and TNT Sports have a limited number of games to choose from for broadcast on the final day, despite none taking place during Saturday’s 3pm ban.

This match has not been picked by any broadcaster, who are instead showing Manchester City vs West Ham, Arsenal vs Everton, Liverpool vs Wolves and Chelsea vs Bournemouth.

From 2025, every Premier League match played outside the Saturday lockout will be broadcast live in the UK.
