Full Liverpool squad available for Jurgen Klopp vs Wolves farewell amid injury treble

Jurgen Klopp has received a triple injury boost ahead of Sunday’s season-ending clash with Wolves, which will also be his final game in charge of Liverpool.

In January, Klopp announced he would be leaving the club after nine seasons at the end of the 2023/24 campaign. Reflecting on his time at Anfield, Klopp said: “It’s been almost a decade of my life. How hard it will be to say goodbye. I take fantastic memories with me. Relationships forever. It was the complete opposite of a waste of time. .”

Along with Klopp, several other Liverpool players are set to leave at the end of the season, with the club already announcing exits for Thiago Alcantara and Joel Matip. Both players have missed much of this season due to injury, but Thiago could be hoping for one last send-off.

Along with Andy Robertson, who missed the 3-3 draw against Aston Villa earlier in the week, and Diogo Jota, Thiago was spotted training at Melwood on Thursday. Thaigo has played just five minutes this season with a cameo from the bench against Arsenal seeing him suffer a fitness setback.

Meanwhile, Jota, after starring in last month’s 3-1 win over Fulham, picked up a further injury which has seen him miss the last four games and take his total absences to 14 league games.

Given that he only missed a short spell, Jota’s appearance in the final clash of the season against Wolves is certainly a possibility. However, as far as Thiago is concerned, it is probably better that the Spain international does not play, even though it is his last chance to feature for the Reds.
