Moved to New England Town; It’s like Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls

• I longed for the small town life I saw on “Gilmore Girls” while growing up in the suburbs.
• I eventually moved to a quaint town in Vermont where I now raise my daughters.
• From the local restaurant to the many interesting characters, living here is as wonderful as we hoped.

I was a high school student living in the suburbs when “Gilmore Girls” premiered and I watched it every week. While I didn’t necessarily want to be Rory or Lorelai, I did covet one aspect of their lives: Stars Hollow.

From where I sat, their small New England town—with all its quirks—seemed like the perfect place to live. In my mid-20s, I was attracted enough to the idea that I took the plunge and moved to southern Vermont.

Over a decade later, I discovered that small town life is actually similar to Stars Hollow.
