Turkey stocks fall at close of trade; The BIST 100 was down 3.25% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, it lost 3.25% to hit a new 3-month low.

The best performers of the session on the were Alfa Solar Energi AS (IS: ), which rose 5.13% or 2.70 points to trade at 55.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: ) added 4.55% or 0.26 points to end at 5.97 and ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS: ) added 1. 63% or 0.74 points to 46.04 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Karsan Automotive Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: ), which declined 9.97% or 1.72 points to trade at 15.53 at the close. ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS: ) declined 8.94% or 0.58 points to end at 5.91 and Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS: ) declined 8.35% or 2.14 points to end at 23.48.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 507 to 65 and 4 ended unchanged.

Shares of ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:) fell to 52-week lows; down 8.94% or 0.58 to 5.91.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 1.00% or 26.60 to $2,686.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery rose 4.46%, or 3.04, to $71.21 a barrel, while the December Brent crude contract rose 4.10% or 2.94, to 74.64 dollars per barrel.

USD/TRY rose 0.17% to 34.22, while EUR/TRY fell 0.59% to 37.85.

US dollar index futures rose 0.52% to 101.04.
